Please, Do is een multimediaal project over uitputting en verantwoordelijkheid. Ik stel vragen over de hoedanigheid van verantwoordelijkheid: wat is het, en wat is het niet? Hoe ontstaat verantwoordelijkheid en hoe gaan we ermee om?

In dit werk geef ik het publiek verantwoordelijkheid. Zij kiezen ervoor de verantwoordelijkheid te omarmen of te negeren – maar vergeet niet dat niet ingrijpen ook consequenties heeft…

Please, Do is a multimedia project about exhaustion and responsibility. I ask questions about responsibility: what is it, and what is it not? How does responsibility arise and how do we deal with it?

In this work, I give the audience responsibility. They choose to accept or ignore the responsibility – but not choosing also has consequences…

Ik ben een componist, geluidskunstenaar en performer die focust op nieuwe technologieën, maatschappelijke kwesties en het klimaat. Ik maak elektroakoestische composities, elektronische muziek, interactieve installaties en multimediale kunstwerken.

Het project Please, Do fungeert als het eindexamen voor mijn bachelor compositie aan de Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten te Tilburg. Ik heb mezelf tot doel gesteld om met dit eindexamen mijn artistieke ambities, professionaliteit en creativiteit te tonen. Hiervoor heb ik jullie hulp nodig…

The project Please, Dois my final exam of the bachelor composition at the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts in Tilburg (NL). With this final exam, I want to show my artistic ambitions, professionalism and creativity. For this, I need your help…

WAAROM CROWDFUNDING?
Ik doe mijn beroep op crowdfunding om bijkomende en onvoorziene kosten te betalen. Zo’n €700 zal gaan naar de aankoop van materiaal. Hoewel ik het meeste materiaal kan lenen, zijn er enkele dingen die ik niet te leen kan krijgen, zoals een speciale stethomicrofoon en een sportbal…

De rest van het geld zal besteed worden aan tegemoetkomingen voor mijn performers en medewerkers, een fee voor een professionele fotograaf en aan publicatiekosten.

WHY CROWDFUNDING?
I rely on crowdfunding to pay additional and unforeseen costs. About € 700 will go to the purchase of equipment. Although I can lend most of the equipment, there are some things I need to buy myself, such as a special stetho microphone and a sports ball ...

The rest of the money will be spent on allowances for my performers and employees, a fee for a professional photographer and publication costs.
