Help ons om naar Mexico te komen!

Hallo, ik ben Leonardo, een componist en multi-instrumentalist uit Mexico, gevestigd in Rotterdam. Vorig jaar presenteerde ik met het ‘Leonardo Prieto Ensemble’ in de Doelen in Rotterdam mijn debuut album 'Sembrando'. Het Ensemble bestaat uit zeven geweldige muzikanten met vijf verschillende nationaliteiten. Het album kreeg geweldige feedback van een journalist en het publiek. De muziek gaat van klassieke muziek tot moderne jazz met invloeden van Mexicaanse en Cubaanse muziek.

Wij zijn Leonardo Prieto Ensemble, samengesteld uit 7 muzikanten uit 5 verschillende landen gevestigd in Rotterdam. Pablo Rodríguez, Johannes Fend, Loek van den Berg, Fuensanta, Philip Kukulies, Daan Artes & Leonardo Prieto.

Dit jaar hebben we veel aanbiedingen gekregen om het album in Mexico te presenteren en we hebben een geweldige tour gepland. Helaas kunnen deze locaties onze reiskosten niet dekken en hebben we een van de subsidies waar we op zaten te wachten niet gekregen.
In een poging om de reisagenda bij te houden, ben ik genoodzaakt om de reiskosten zelf te dekken.

Met uw steun konden we vele concerten en workshops geven en een uitwisseling creëren tussen Mexicaanse en Europese artiesten.

Daarom hebben we besloten om deze crowdfunding te starten. Door de crowdfunding te ondersteunen, kan ik het honorarium van de muzikanten betalen, de reiskosten in het land dekken en ons project verder stimuleren door ons werk te presenteren tijdens concerten, workshops en artistieke uitwisseling tussen Mexicaanse artiesten en het ensemble.
We zullen dit delen via streaming en een documentatie video aan het einde van de tour.

Help us to arrive to Mexico!

Hello I’m Leonardo, a composer and multi instrumentalist from Mexico based in Rotterdam. Last year I presented at De Doelen, Rotterdam my debut album ‘Sembrando’ as ‘Leonardo Prieto Ensemble’ together with 6 outstanding musicians from 5 different countries and we received amazing feedback from the music journalists and the audience. The music ranges from classical music to modern jazz with influences of Mexican and Cuban music.

We are Leonardo Prieto Ensemble, composed of 7 musicians from 5 different countries based in Rotterdam. Leonardo Prieto Ensemble: Pablo Rodríguez, Johannes Fend, Loek van den Berg, Fuensanta, Philip Kukulies, Daan Artes & Leonardo Prieto.

This year we received many offers to present the album in Mexico and we have an amazing tour planned.
The venues are not able to cover our travel expenses and one of the fundings we were expecting failed. In an effort to keep the tour agenda I have been forced to cover the travel expenses myself.

With your support we will be giving: concerts, workshops and creating an exchange between Mexican and European artists.

Because of that we decided to start this crowdfunding. Supporting the crowdfunding will ensure I can pay musicians’ fee, cover the travel expenses in the country and keep pushing our project further by presenting our work doing concerts, workshops and artistic exchange between Mexican artists and the ensemble.
We will share the tour through streaming and video documentation.

Hola soy Leonardo, compositor y multiinstrumentista mexicano radicado and Rotterdam. El año pasado presenté mi album debut 'Sembrando' como 'Leonardo Prieto Ensemble' junto con 6 increíbles músicos de 5 países diferentes en la reconocida sala de conciertos De Doelen, Rotterdam.
Recibimos excelentes criticas tanto de la prensa especializada como de la audiencia.
La música que presentamos oscila entre música clásica contemporanea y jazz moderno con influencias de la música mexicana y cubana.

Somos 'Leonardo Prieto Ensemble', compuesto por 7 músicos de 5 países diferentes con sede en Rotterdam. Pablo Rodríguez, Johannes Fend, Loek van den Berg, Fuensanta, Philip Kukulies, Daan Artes & Leonardo Prieto.

Este año recibimos muchas ofertas para presentar el disco en México y tenemos planeada una gira increíble.
Los lugares que nos invitan no pueden cubrir nuestros gastos de viaje y uno de los subsidios que estábamos esperando no funcionó.
Con la intención de cumplir con el compromiso de la gira me vi en la necesidad de cubrir de mi bolsillo los gastos de viaje del ensamble y es por eso que he decidido iniciar este crowdfunding.

Con tu apoyo estaremos dando conciertos, talleres y creando un intercambio entre artistas mexicanos y europeos.

Con su apoyo podré cubrir los honorarios de los músicos, pagar gastos de viaje al interior del país y llevar a cabo una serie de conciertos, talleres e intercambios artísticos entre músicos mexicanos y el ensamble.
Compartiremos esto a través de streaming en redes sociales y un video de documentación al final de la gira.
