Hoi allemaal,

Het is een tijdje geleden dat jullie van ons gehoord hebben, maar wij kunnen nu met trots vertellen dat onze film officieel af is! We hebben onze film 20 januari ingeleverd en hebben hele goede feedback ontvangen van onze docenten. Na de deadline moesten er nog wat kleine dingetjes aangepast worden, en dat is nu allemaal gedaan!

Een maand na de deadline mocht onze film onderdeel zijn van een bijzondere dag. Op 24 februari, precies 1 jaar na de start van de oorlog, organiseerde de stichting Vitalnya een herdenkingsbijeenkomst in de Jaarbeurs, Utrecht. Naast een gevarieerd programma, met onder andere een welkomstwoord door de Utrechtse burgemeester Dijksma, staatssecretaris van Justitie en Veiligheid Van der Burg en presentatrice Tooske Ragas, hadden we de eer onze documentaire voor het eerst te vertonen voor een paar duizend Oekraïners en vrijwilligers uit heel Nederland.

We hebben veel overweldigende reacties gekregen en zijn dankbaar dat we een positieve impact hebben kunnen achterlaten op dit bijzondere evenement. Bekijk hier de aftermovie van het evenement: https://youtu.be/zILI7vgOfaU.

Ook werd op deze dag onze film laten zien bij het event van het Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid. Onze film opende het gesprek voor veel medewerkers binnen het Ministerie en ook dit was voor ons een grote eer.

We zijn dankbaar dat we onze film al aan zoveel mensen hebben mogen laten zien en we kunnen niet wachten om te zien wat er nog meer met onze documentaire zal gebeuren! In juni zal onze documentaire in premiere gaan in het Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht.

Hi all,

It's been a while since you've heard from us, but we can now proudly say that our film is officially finished! We submitted our film on January 20 and received very good feedback from our teachers. After the deadline, some small things still had to be adjusted, and now the film is officially done.

A month after the deadline, our film was also part of a special day. On February 24, exactly one year after the start of the war, the Vital'nya Foundation organized a memorial meeting in the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht. In addition to a varied program, including a welcome speech by the mayor of Utrecht Dijksma, State Secretary for Justice and Security Mr. Van der Burg and moderator Tooske Ragas, we had the honor of showing our documentary for the first time in front of a few thousand Ukrainians and volunteers from all over the Netherlands .

On this same day, our film was also shown at the event of the Ministry of Justice and Security. Our film opened the conversation for many employees within the Ministry and this was also a great honor for us.

We are thankful to have been able to show our film to so many people already and we can't wait to see what else will happen with our documentary. Our official premiere will be in June, at the Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht.

Hi allemaal! Gelukkig nieuwjaar en hopelijk heeft iedereen fijne dagen gehad. Voor ons waren het zeker goede dagen, aangezien wij ons doelbedrag hebben behaald en onze crowdfunding succesvol hebben afgesloten! Zonder jullie, onze donateurs, was dit niet mogelijk geweest. Ieder van jullie heeft ons een stukje dichterbij ons doel gebracht, nogmaals bedankt daarvoor!

In het bijzonder willen wij nog het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds en het Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid bedanken voor hun donatie en hulp.

Na een kleine pauze zijn we nu weer hard aan het werk. Onze deadline komt steeds dichterbij, dus we zijn nog hard aan de slag om de film af te maken en hebben zelfs nog een paar draaidagen voor de boeg. In de laatste dagen zullen de kleurcorrector, de geluidsmixer en onze componist de film helemaal afmaken zodat hij in juni kan spetteren op het grote doek in het Louis Hartlooper Complex. Spannende en drukke dagen dus!

Mocht je een donatie achter hebben gelaten en kozen hebben voor een tegenpresentatie, kun je deze over ongeveer twee weken verwachten, wanneer we klaar zijn met de film.

Hi everyone! Happy New Year and hopefully everyone had nice holidays. We certainly did as we reached our target amount and successfully closed our crowdfunding! Without you, our donors, this would not have been possible. Each of you has brought us a little closer to our goal, thank you so much for that!

After a short break we are now back to work! Our deadline is getting closer, so we are still working hard to finish the film and even still have one or two shooting days ahead of us. In the final days, the editor, the color corrector, the sound mixer and our composer will complete the film so that it can shine on the big screen in June at the Louis Hartlooper Complex. Exciting and busy days!

It's time for our first update!

We launched our crowdfunding 11 days ago, and we are almost at 40% already! We are incredibly grateful for all the support we've gotten so far and every donation brings us one step closer to realising our film.

We've pretty much finished shooting (we may have one more day left), so that means it's time for the next phase, the post-production! The shooting days went really well and it was really amazing to get to know the girls better. We shot some beautiful emotional interviews and we can't wait to show them to you.

But as we said, it's time for the post-production now. The deadline for our rough cut is December 14th, so we've started transcribing (and translating the Russian/ Ukrainian interviews), looking at all the footage we have and we'll soon start editing. We have about eight hours of footage and five interviews, so it will be a challenge to fit everything into 20-25 minutes, but we'll make it work! The editing room at the HU will basically be our new home the next few weeks.

We are also busy with sending out emails to press and organisations, to see if they can help us with publicity or funding.

We're glad to have you on board and we can't wait to make this a huge success!

Het is tijd voor onze eerste update!

We hebben onze crowdfunding 11 dagen geleden gelanceerd en we zitten al bijna op 40%! We zijn ongelooflijk dankbaar voor alle steun die we tot nu toe hebben gekregen en elke donatie brengt ons een stap dichter bij het realiseren van onze film.

We zijn voor het grootste deel klaar met de opnames (misschien hebben we nog één draaidag), dus dat betekent dat het tijd is voor de volgende fase, de postproductie! De draaidagen gingen erg goed en het was echt geweldig om de meiden beter te leren kennen. We hebben een aantal mooie emotionele interviews opgenomen en we kunnen niet wachten om ze aan jullie te laten zien.

Maar zoals we al zeiden, het is nu tijd voor de postproductie. De deadline voor onze ruwe montage is 14 december, dus we zijn begonnen met het transcriberen (en vertalen van de Russische/Oekraïense interviews), het bekijken van al het beeldmateriaal dat we hebben en we zullen binnenkort beginnen met editen. We hebben ongeveer acht uur aan beeldmateriaal en vijf interviews, dus het zal een uitdaging zijn om alles in 20-25 minuten te passen, maar het komt goed! De montageruimte op de HU zal de komende weken ons tweede huis worden.

Ook zijn we druk bezig met het versturen van e-mails naar pers en organisaties, om te kijken of zij ons kunnen helpen met publiciteit of financiering.

We zijn blij dat je ons helpt en we kunnen niet wachten om er een groot succes van te maken!
