Let's make the Homeward Bound exhibition happen!

We are Veronika Petuchova and Luke McCowan, two visual artists who are organising a group show that truly connects people. We graduated from HKU in 2021 and now we are looking to create opportunities for young artists.

That is why we need your help!

Homeward Bound is a group exhibition that encourages personal interaction and connection amongst any artist and visitor. The show will open the weekend of the 24th November and run until December 3rd at Korte Vijverberg 2 in Den Haag. Ten participating artists with connections to Den Haag, including us organisers, will come together to present our works in relation to the theme of home and belonging. Coming from different backgrounds and media we want to create a vibrant discussion around what home means to each one of us.

We need your support to be able to execute our idea to its full potential.
The almost 260m2 space - rented from ANNA Vastgoed&Cultuur in Den Haag- consists of many windows. As a show with a majority of painters we have to work around it and construct our own walls in the space to properly present everyone's work.

We want to create open living room areas surrounded by artworks to encourage our guests and participants to connect and truly interact with each other and the exhibition itself. In these areas you'll find a coffee table, rugs with pillows to sit on, board games, scented candles or scent dispensers, and questions to encourage conversation and play. Next to this we are providing tea and biscuits within these cold months all day long. We want for everyone to feel welcomed through these things that keep us warm and remind us of home. Gezellig!

For the opening we want to invite a guest speaker with experience from the international community to start a discussion about community building and questions around settling in a new place.

October fundraising dinner

Leading up to the exhibition we want to organise an in person dinner party at our studio near the Binkhorstlaan to raise funds. This way we can give back to those who want to support us and we will offer a preview of some works and an insider sneak peak to some of our workspaces. We want to bring people together in a warm company for a hearty meal that brings us home. This event is to get everyone excited for the coming show!

Laten we de tentoonstelling Homeward Bound een feit maken!

Wij zijn Veronika Petuchova en Luke McCowan, twee beeldend kunstenaars die een groepsshow organiseren die mensen écht met elkaar verbindt. We zijn in 2021 afgestudeerd aan de HKU en nu willen we kansen creëren voor jonge kunstenaars.

Daarom hebben we jouw hulp nodig!

Homeward Bound is een groepstentoonstelling die persoonlijke interactie en verbinding tussen de kunstenaars en bezoekers stimuleert. De show opent in het weekend van 24 november en loopt tot 3 december op de Korte Vijverberg 2 in Den Haag. De tien deelnemende kunstenaars hebben allen een connectie met Den Haag, waaronder wij organisatoren, komen samen om onze werken te presenteren in relatie tot het thema thuis (horen).

Door uit te lichten dat we van verschillende (culturele) achtergronden komen en in verschillende media werken, willen we een levendige discussie creëren over wat thuis voor ieder van ons betekent.
