Dear supporters,

Yeah, it's been a while.
Since we've succeeded this crowdfunding campagne 229 days ago we managed to collect 4550 euro to make the recordings for my new funky album happen. And it is happening.

I've started the process by traveling through Norway and Sweden with my bus Walter. We've spend 2 months on the road to visit some incredible artists and hit the studio in Oslo. I managed to record the essentials for my 8 songs: drums, bass, vocals and some special guests with their funky instruments were invited in the studio too. Special guests to be announced later ;) The crowdfunding budget has now been spend in Norway to the producer and the musicians that have participated in the recordings. But I still have to record some more instruments to spice it up; 'the cherry on the cake'. I did underestimate the time that we had with the Norwegian producer. So, to make this happen I am saving extra private money by performing shows in bars, clubs, on weddings, private events and by working as a music therapist.

So in the meantime I continued working on my recordings back in Amsterdam. I am currently working with my Dutch friend/producer Rolito. Together we continue with the last recordings for the album in Wisseloord, Hilversum. We have already had some really cool special guests adding some funky twists to the songs.

The next month I will make the last recordings in Italy together with a great local percussion player before the songs are ready to be mixed and mastered by engineers.

I am planning to release the album in summer 2024 and in the meantime I'll be working on the organization of this little Europe tour. For this I am applying for cultural funds and looking for a team to make this all happen.

So the van tour for this campagne will take place in summer 2024 after the album is released. As well as the podcast.

Can't wait to show you what I've been working on these past months...!!

Dear friends!

Wow! We made it. And I am really honored for your support. Together we accomplished this crowdfunding campagne, and this means that me and the bass are going to Norway. Voordekunst gave me the chance to finish the campaign with 80% of the raised money. Because I will finish the remaining 20% by myself as I have sold my private car and acoustic guitar. I still feel sure about it because I want to get rid of stuff and create space for new things.

So, right now it's up to me. And I am preparing the bus for a long journey; making sure that Walter (the bus) is and stays waterproof, I am working on the body, removing the rust, repainting it and making sure that the 40 year old engine is as stable as possible to hit the Scandinavian mountains. At the same time I am working full time in Amsterdam to save money for the trip (gasoline, food and unforseen expenses).

DATES:

The recordings for the album ‘Rose and the Bass’ will take place from the 3rd until the 12th of July in Oslo, Norway. There will be video recordings happening in Norway and I will visit some really cool musicians in Norway and Sweden!

Hello friends, I have received so much support from all of you. And I am very thankful for that. Thanks to that I have very good news. The campaign has been extended by 2 weeks: until 6th of April!!

Many donations have already came in and there are organizations that are interested in my bus artist project. That gives perspective and means that this campaign might work! But we're not there yet, we're over the 3K, but in two weeks we still have to collect 1.9K to continue the album recordings in Norway. Let's make this happen ;)

Hallo vrienden, ik heb zoveel steun gekregen van jullie allemaal. En daar ben ik erg dankbaar voor. Dankzij dat heb ik heel goed nieuws. De campagne is met 2 weken verlengd: t/m 6 april!!

Er zijn al veel donaties binnengekomen en er zijn organisaties die geïnteresseerd zijn in mijn bus-artiest-project. Dat biedt perspectief en betekent dat deze campagne mogelijk gaat werken! Maar we zijn er nog niet. We zijn over de 3K heen, maar over twee weken moeten we nog 1,9K verzamelen om de album-opnames in Noorwegen voort te zetten. Let's make this happen ;)
